Privacy Policy for Daily Boost - Motivation Last Updated: December 12, 2025 Eric Blazek ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Daily Boost - Motivation mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. If you do not agree with the terms, do not access or use the App. ## Information We Collect We collect minimal information to provide the App's features: - **Device and Usage Information**: Automatically collected data such as device type, OS version, IP address, and usage patterns (e.g., app opens, hearts/skips/background selections) via Firebase. This is anonymous and helps improve the App and debug issues. - **User-Generated Content**: Custom boosts, AI prompts, and sections you create are stored locally on your device via UserDefaults. AI prompts are sent to xAI API for generation but not stored by us. - **Anonymous Authentication**: We use Firebase Anonymous Authentication to enable features like content fetching—no personal identifiers are collected. - **No Personal Data**: We do not collect names, emails, or other personally identifiable information unless you contact us voluntarily (e.g., via feedback). We do not collect location, contacts, or sensitive data. In-app purchases are handled by Apple; we do not access payment details. ## How We Use Your Information - To provide and maintain the App (e.g., generate AI boosts, sync widget content). - To improve the App (e.g., analyze anonymous usage via Firebase). - To comply with legal obligations. ## Sharing Your Information - **Service Providers**: We share data with Firebase (Google) for hosting/storage/analytics and xAI for AI generation. Their policies apply to processed data. xAI may use anonymized prompts for model improvement, per their policy. - **Legal Requirements**: If required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights/property. - **Business Transfers**: In mergers/acquisitions, your data may transfer. We do not sell or rent your data. ## Data Security and Retention We use reasonable measures to protect data, but no method is 100% secure. Data is retained as needed for App functionality or legal reasons. Local data persists until you delete the App. ## Your Rights - Access/Delete: Contact us to request data access/deletion (limited, as data is mostly local/anonymous). - Opt-Out: Disable features like notifications in App settings. For California users (CCPA): You have rights to know, delete, and opt-out of "sales" (none occur). Contact for requests. For EU users (GDPR): You have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port data, and object to processing. We obtain consent where required for EU users. For other users: Similar rights may apply under state laws (e.g., Illinois BIPA if applicable, though no biometrics collected). ## Children's Privacy The App is not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data. ## Third-Party Services - Firebase: See Google's Privacy Policy[](https://policies.google.com/privacy). - xAI API: xAI's Privacy Policy[](https://x.ai/privacy-policy) applies to API-processed data (e.g., prompts). It does not cover end-user data processed on our behalf. - Apple: In-app purchases follow Apple's policies. ## International Users The App is hosted in the US. If you access from outside (e.g., EU), your data may transfer to the US, where privacy laws differ. By using the App, you consent to this transfer/processing. ## Changes to This Policy We may update this policy. Changes are posted in the App with the updated date. ## Contact Us Questions?
